OCTOBER CELEBRATION: ALL DRESSED UP! October 30th 10:30AM-2:30PM

All dressed up and ready to play at the annual October piano celebration on October 30th, 10:30am-2:30pm. The first celebration will begin at 10:30-11:30, the 2nd 12:00-1:00 and the 3rd from 1:30-2:30. If you have a specific time that you need to have let me know ASAP since I will be making the programs shortly. Please help your child prepare a costume for this event, and bring 1 dozen goodies to go along with their piece to share afterwards..Remember this does not involve the first year piano students. I would like all piano pieces memorized unless it is too stressful for the child. Help your child feel successful at memory work by being supportive. Say things like it's incredible to play the piano without any music and I know you can do it!
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP and support on this.

WHY TEACH CHILDREN IN GROUP LESSONS?

1. Students look forward coming and being with their friends (other students).
2. Ensemble playing fun, great for training independence of rhythm.
3. Students have more opportunity to perform in front of others by playing for fellow classmates.
4. Students practice more to keep up with the class.

PIANO THOUGHTS...

Give your child something that doesn't break, doesn't get old or they cant lose, GIVE THEM MUSIC LESSONS!
When all the toys are put away, MUSIC LESSONS are there to stay!

IT'S NEVER TO EARLY TO START MUSIC EDUCATION....

OR NEVER TOO LATE... Music Last a lifetime and beyond...

HAVE AN IPOD TOUCH?

While working on my teaching projects here in Oklahoma, I've discovered some fun applications for piano education that you might want to download on your ipod touch.
1. Blue Note (.99) Flashes notes in Treble, Bass and Keyboard. Up to 4 levels. Symbol flashes up to 5 levels with helps.
2. Karajan (Free) Ear training. Intervals, Chords, Scales, Pitch, Tempo and Key Signature. Can ascend or descend.
3. Quiz LPO or Classical music Quiz (Free) London Philharmonic Orchestra plays name that tune! FUN!
4. Virtuoso Piano Pro (Free) or Grand Pro (.99) Records melody you play on keyboard that be displayed into 4 octaves. Also has a nice sounding metronome.
5. Nota ($4.99) Play notes, chords, and scales on keyboard while displaying on staff. A reference library of music terms. Will quiz on musical concepts.
Also for the little ones, interactive songs to keep them busy at Doctor's office. Wheels On The Bus and Eency Weency Spider.
